Kanji Joy Stencil Template depicts a Chinese character or letter for the word “Joy” – the script of Kanji was invented by the Chinese. It was then introduced to Japan in the 6th century. These characters are so graphically beautiful that they are a work of art in themselves. Each of the stencils in this collection is sized alike. Stencil image measures 10.5″ x 4.8″, and is a single overlay stencil.

Kanji are the logographic Chinese characters taken from the Chinese script, and used in the writing of Japanese. They were made a major part of the Japanese writing system during the time of Old Japanese. They are still used, along with the subsequently-derived syllabic scripts of hiragana and katakana.
