Stencil image measures 9” x 9”. Our Colonial Motif 1 stencil is large enough to be a beautiful feature at the center of a round table or repeated for a stenciled floor.
Colonial design lends itself to dramatic impressions with comfortable sophistication and a touch of formality. Colonial living includes inviting textures, elegantly-carved, dark wood furniture situated in a light and airy atmospheres. Our goal was to capture the colonial attitude, and we are very proud of this design! We have found motif stencils to be the stencils we use the most! This stencil coordinates with the Colonial Border Stencil.
The Colonial Motif Stencil, refined, stately, and traditional – is a perfect for foundational elements such to place on ceiling beams, or wall beams. Historically used as artistic accent on beams and walls, colonial stencil designs were also us as stand alone pieces of art on velvet or other materials. We have created a complementary Colonial Border Stencil that works well against this round design. Both designs have the same elegance and refinement.
Following history as our guide, we find the Colonial Circular Motif pattern fits well as discrete accents – lining beams and pillars – the Colonial design adds elegance to any space. Utilizing both the border around the lip of a broad planting pot and the circle stencil gives a striking look to an otherwise drab container.
The Colonial Motif stencil works well framing entrance mirrors, window frames, beams, pillars and even accenting fireplace mantels. Traditionally painted in solid colors, new painting techniques show off the pattern in bright gradients that are sure to please.
