Size 0 = Almost 1/4 inch brush head
Size 2 = 1/4 inch brush head
Size 4 = Little over 1/4 inch brush head
Size 6 = One notch below 1/2 inch brush head
Size 8 = Nearly 1/2 inch brush head

These stencil brushes are excellent! They work for the recommended up and down "pouncing motion" that stencilers do to keep paint from seeping under a stencil. I’d recommend Size 4 for most stenciling projects, unless you have a large amount to stencil all in one color. In that case, I’d go for the largest size.
